Do I need my own API keys?
Yes. Phantom Assistant uses your personal API keys to connect to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. This ensures your data never passes through intermediate servers.
Where is my data stored?
Everything is saved locally on your computer in a SQLite database. API keys are encrypted in the system keychain. We have zero access to your data.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your local data remains intact on your computer. You won't lose anything you've saved. You simply won't be able to use the app until you reactivate.
How much do AI APIs cost?
It depends on your usage. For normal use, expect around $5-15/month. You pay directly to the providers; no markup passes through us.
Can I use Phantom offline?
Partially. The app works offline for viewing history and settings, but an internet connection is required for AI chats.
Which operating systems are supported?
